SAS President Kruger Remembrance Pledge

On the 18th February 1982 the SAS President Kruger sank after been struck by the SAS Tafelberg in a training exercise in the south atlantic. It it significant to us to remember for two reasons, the loss of 16 brave South African servicemen and the impact this loss still has through the families and naval community in South Africa to this day.

We ask that each member takes time out on the 18th February at 11:00 to stop what you are doing. If you like – put on an appropriate headress and medals – find an appropriate spot – a local cenotaph of memorial or just a private place and remember the following people still on patrol for one minute silence.

You can do his with like minded friends and fellow Legionnaires as a mini parade or as individuals on your own, if you can leave a token of remembrance – a candle, poppy, garland or wreath – whatever is suitable – send us your pledge or a picture so we can share it with survivors of the PK association to show our solidarity.

Here is the honour roll.
